Recording Zero Behavior Data from the Session Note

Modified on Fri, 12 Jun at 9:19 PM

When a client's targeted behaviors simply didn't occur during a session, you can now log a value of 0 for all eligible behaviors in one step, right from the Session Note — instead of opening the Behavior Data tab and saving each one. This cuts manual effort and keeps your behavior data complete.

Recording the Zeros

  • Go to Scheduling --> Create Session Note.

  • Check the box labeled "No behaviors were observed during this session" (located above Behavior Data).

  • A confirmation pop-up appears: "Are you sure you want to record 0 data for all behaviors? Please note, if the behavior has 'Do Not Zero Out' setting enabled, 0 data will not be recorded." Click Confirm to record the zeros, or Cancel to do nothing.

Notes:

  • 0 is only recorded for behaviors that have "Do Not Zero Out" disabled and that have no data already entered for that staff, client, and date of service. Existing values are never overwritten.

  • If you later collect data for one of those behaviors anywhere in the app (Collect Data, Daily Summary Data, or Raw Data Entry), it replaces the recorded 0.

  • Unchecking the box before the note is rendered removes the zeros from everywhere in the application. If you have the "Modify appointment after rendering" permission, you can uncheck it after rendering as well.

  • The checkbox is optional and you can complete the note without selecting it.
