Adding Behaviors for Reduction?

Modified on Fri, 14 Apr, 2023 at 10:57 AM

First, go to the client's profile. Once you are in the client's profile go to "Data Collection Setup"

Once you're in the data collection setup screen, click on "Behavior Reduction". Click on "Add New Behavior" to add new behaviors:

Adding Behaviors:

  • Behavior Name: Enter the name of the behavior. We recommend adding the type of data you will be collecting in addition the behavior name (i.e., Tantrum - Frequency")
  • Behavior Category (Optional): Select the category you want the behavior to be under. You will need to set up Behavior Categories under "Master Data Collection" before using this feature.
  • Goal Name (Optional): Enter the goal name for reporting purposes.
  • Definition (Optional): Enter the operational definition of the behavior. This will be displayed when your staff collects data.
  • Recording TypeSelect from Duration, Frequency, Momentary Time Sample, Partial Interval, or Rate.
  • Do not zero out: By default, if there was a session and there was no data taken on a particular behavior then Theralytics will score the behavior as a "0" for the day. By selecting the "do not zero out" box, Theralytics will not add a "0" and there would be no data if there was no behavior data taken during a session.
  • Exclude from ABC Data Collection: Check this button if you would like to exclude this behavior from the ABC data collection page. This is useful if you have the same behavior with different types of recording (i.e., Tantrum - Frequency, duration, rate), but you only want to take ABC data on Tantrum behavior.
