Creating Phase Change Lines

Modified on Wed, 29 Nov, 2023 at 3:19 PM

Phase change lines can be added to your data collection graphs to indicate data that has been collected during distinct conditions (or phases). In addition to the temporary lines that can be created as you generate a graph, you can create permanent phase change lines that will be available each time you generate a graph and for multiple graphs. To create a phase change line, follow the steps listed below:

  1. Select the client for which you wish to add a phase change line and open their profile summary:

  1.  Go to the "Manage Client" menu and select "Data Collection Setup”.

  1. Navigate to the ‘’Setup” tab and click on ‘’Default Phase Change Lines’’:

  1. Select the date, label, line style, and program or behavior for which you want to record the phase change line and click 'Save'

Note: If you want the line to be displayed for all programs, targets, and behaviors, leave the fields blank and click 'Save'

  1. You can create an unlimited number of phase change lines by clicking   and saving your changes.

  1. To display the previously saved phase change lines in the data collection graphs you generate, make sure to always select the “Display Saved Phase Change Lines” option when generating the graph:

You can also generate temporary phase change lines directly on the graph by following these steps:

  1. Select the client for which you wish to add a phase change line and open their profile summary:

  1. Go to the "Manage Client" menu and select "Data Collection Graphs”

  1. Generate the skill acquisition or behavior graph and select .

  2. Set the date, label text and dash style of the phase change line and click on “Add”:

Note: You can add multiple phase change lines to the graph, but they will not be saved or recorded once you exit the graph view as they are considered temporary for the current generated graph.

Here is an example of how the phase change lines might appear on a graph for % Correct Responding, with different line types and line names.
