The 'Setup' tab within the 'Data Collection' section is an important area where you input vital information that directly influences how your providers will be collecting data. It allows you to incorporate prompt codes, set mastery criteria, add and adjust recording intervals (for partial interval recording or momentary time sampling behaviors), and integrate phase change lines to programs, targets or behaviors. Throughout this guide, we will delve into each section, clarifying their significance in the data collection process.
Prompt Codes:
Within this section, you can seamlessly incorporate prompt codes from the 'Masters Data Collection' section into your clients' profiles. When you choose a prompt code for inclusion, it automatically populates each field following the way it was setup in the 'Masters Data Collection' section. If necessary, you can also customize and adapt the prompt code to align with your specific implementation preferences for each individual client. Mastery Criteria:
In this section, setting up the mastery criteria is essential for your clients' target statuses to transition from 'In-treatment' to 'Mastered.'
- Response Percentage: This refers to the portion of correct trials essential for achieving targets mastery.
- Consecutive Days: It signifies the number of successive days with a consistent or improved response percentage that the client needs to attain for mastering the targets.
- First Trial Independence: You can select either 'Yes' or 'No' from the drop-down menu to decide whether the first trial of each session must be conducted independently for that session to be included in the mastery data set.
- Minimum Trials Required: This indicates the minimum number of trials a provider needs to complete for the targets to be considered towards mastery.
- Minimum Therapist Count: You will be able to indicate the minimum number of therapists required to collect data for the targets to be considered towards mastery.
Note: The Mastery Criteria information you input will be applied to all the targets within the skills acquisition section for the client. If you wish to have a separate mastery criteria for certain targets, there is an option to override the mastery criteria when editing a target.
Interval Settings:
For the Interval Settings tab you will be able to add or adjust the time each interval would be for behaviors with the recording type of Partial Interval Recording or Momentary Time Sampling. You can input your intervals in the form of minutes and when your providers collect data, there will be a beeping sound that will indicate them when the interval is over.
Default Phase Change Lines:
In this last section, you will be able to input phase change lines to specific graphs or a certain amount of graphs depending on how you set up the line.
- Line Date: In this field, you'll enter the date you want the phase change line to appear on the graph.
- Line Label: This is where you'll name the phase change line.
- Line Style: In the drop-down menu, you can choose how you want the phase change line to be displayed (e.g., dotted line, solid line, dashed line, etc.).
- Program: You can select a program from the drop-down menu. This selection can be applied to all the targets if you choose to apply it at that level.
- Target: A drop-down menu containing all the client's listed targets will be available for you to choose from when adding the phase change line.
- Behavior: You can select a behavior from the drop-down menu, which allows you to add phase change lines for specific behaviors currently being tracked.
Note: It's not mandatory to select every section pertaining to programs, targets, or behaviors, but at least one of them must be chosen for the phase change line to be displayed on the selected area. If you want to display the line for all of your graphs, leave the programs, targets and behaviors areas blank.
In this section, you can also specify the line style for both the baseline and mastered phase change lines. These settings will be applied to all the graphs and will be visible whenever the status of a target undergoes a change.
