Therapy Types

Modified on Tue, 4 Apr, 2023 at 10:37 AM

Therapy types are used to differentiate between billable activities for separate disciplines (ABA, speech, occupational, etc.). Please follow the instructions below for information on where and when to use this option.

  1. To set up additional therapy types, you will first need to navigate to Manage Therapies under the Masters section.

  1. Here you can add additional therapy types by selecting the button below.

  1. On the Edit Master Therapy Popup, you can enter the Therapy name and then a description. You will already have at least one default therapy present on your database, along with the All Therapies option. The description is only for your internal reference, and will not appear when scheduling or billing for that therapy.

  1. Once saved, you will be able to access this Therapy when creating appointment types. Each appointment type can be assigned to one therapy type.

  1. These Therapy types can also be selected when you assign a rendering provider to a client’s profile. Client’s will need to have at least one rendering provider per therapy type that you will be scheduling for that client. For example, if I am scheduling a client for ABA and speech therapy, they will need one rendering provider for ABA, and one for speech added on their profile.
